Coloured — Handmade Berber Rugs

Colourful Berber rugs in terracotta, rose and teal — statement handmade wool pieces woven in the Middle Atlas.

The colourful Berber rug, a piece that wakes up a room

Bright red, terracotta, pink, teal, green: a colourful Berber rug instantly gives character to a living room, bedroom or hallway. Our colourful rugs are hand-knotted in natural wool, most of them in the thick, silky Mrirt style. Each is one of a kind: the colour and pattern you see are the ones you receive.

How to style a multicoloured rug

The simplest approach: pick up one colour from the rug in a cushion, a throw or a vase, and keep the rest neutral – white walls, wood, linen. A red or terracotta rug warms a north-facing room; teal or green brings calm. In an already busy room, a rug with two or three tones works better than a very multicoloured one.

Single colour or multicoloured?

A rug in a single strong colour, such as bright red, becomes the focal point of the room. A multicoloured rug with Berber patterns is easier to pair with varied furniture and hides the small marks of daily life better.

Frequently asked questions

Do the colours of a Berber rug run?

Not in normal use. Dab a stain with a damp cloth without rubbing, and avoid all-day full sun to keep the colours vivid.

Does a colourful rug suit a home with children or pets?

Yes, it is a good choice: colour and pattern are more forgiving than a white rug, and the dense wool stands up well to foot traffic.

How is a colourful rug delivered?

Rolled and protected, with tracking: free delivery in mainland France, and across the European Union for a flat rate per rug based on weight. Returns accepted within 14 days.
