Beige & neutral handmade Berber rugs
White, cream, sand beige, natural or marron glacé: our neutral-toned Berber rugs bring warmth and light without overloading the room. They suit every style, from Scandinavian to classic, and let the material speak – thick, hand-knotted natural wool.
Choosing the right shade of beige
In a Berber rug, “beige” covers a whole palette: cream and ecru, sand beige, all the way to marron glacé. Light tones make a room feel larger and bounce the light around; deeper beiges and browns are easier to live with day to day and warm up a cold floor.
What size for a beige rug?
In a living room, the rug should at least sit under the sofa’s front legs; in a bedroom, it should extend on both sides of the bed. Our rugs range from small sizes of about 180 × 120 cm, for a hallway or bedside, to large rugs for the living room. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
Why a Mrirt rug in beige?
Mrirt rugs are made of thick, dense, silky wool. On a light rug without busy patterns, the material does all the work: you can see it and feel it underfoot. The ideal piece for a Scandinavian, Japandi or boho-chic interior that wants warmth without clutter.
Caring for a light Berber rug
Vacuum without a rotating brush, turn the rug from time to time so it wears evenly, and deal with a stain straight away by dabbing it with a damp cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.
Frequently asked questions
Does a beige or white Berber rug show dirt easily?
Less than you might think: the lanolin in natural wool protects the fibre and dust vacuums out easily. Just avoid the busiest walkways.
What goes with a beige Berber rug?
Light or dark wood, linen, ceramics and touches of black or terracotta. A neutral rug also leaves room for a colourful sofa or cushions.
Beige or white Berber rug: which to choose?
White and cream bring the most light but need a little more care. Sand beige and marron glacé are easier to live with day to day, especially with children or pets.
How is a beige rug delivered?
Rolled and protected, with tracking. Delivery is free in mainland France and available across the European Union for a flat rate per rug based on weight. Returns accepted within 14 days.
Are neutral rugs dyed?
Many white, cream or brown rugs keep the natural colour of the sheep’s wool. Other shades, such as some beiges or browns, can come from dyeing.
